Red Cross Blood Centre (Bank) in Nellore has been functioning from 31 years Collecting nearly 30000 units every year and till now nearly 3,50,000 blood units and issued to nearly 5,00,000 needy patients.
Nellore Blood Bank occupied top position in the entire Indian Red Cross Blood Banks and stood first place in A. P. State. The Red Cross Blood Bank, Nellore having latest equipment with high qualified technical staff.
As many as 1368 covid plasma units have been collected from 707 persons who recovered from the dreaded virus and issued to those suffering from covid for plasma therapy which saved hundreds of lives.
The initiative led Nellore Red Cross to bag 2nd place in India for donating 1368 units of covid plasma to the needy patients.
